An accountant from Texas who died after he was punched in the face last week in Northwest Washington had paused to watch a street fight and had his hands in his pockets when he was struck, D.C. police said in court documents made public Friday. Police said Kassahun Abebe Edo, 35, who had just attended a friend's wedding, left the Peace Lounge on Georgia Avenue about 3 a.m. on Aug. 22 and was seen with friends on surveillance video approaching the fight that involved the suspect on Fairmont Street, near the Howard University campus.
