Non communicable diseases a major threat in 21st Century

Non Communicable Diseases are number one cause of death and disability worldwide and is therefore one of the major health and development challenges of the 21st century. This is in terms of human suffering they cause and the adverse effect they have on universal sustainable development, panelists noted at the Third Global Conference on Financing For Development that ended Thursday last week in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
