After the announcement of failure of the most recent round of talks between the South Sudanese rivals, analysts expressed concern that the negotiation failure could lead to a full military escalation in the new-born state. On Friday, Ethiopian Prime Minister and chief mediator of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development Hailemariam Desalegn announced that the warring parties in South Sudan have failed to reach a deal to end the violence which erupted since mid-December 2013.
