The Ministry of Transport on Tuesday revealed that the construction of the Ethio-Djibouti railway project is on schedule; however, other railway projects, which are part of the planned nationwide railway network, have not secured the required loans except one which is partially financed by the Government of India. According to the Minister of Transport, Workneh Gebeyehu, who presented his office's six-month performance report to the House of Peoples' Representatives on Tuesday, the construction of the Addis Ababa/Sebeta-Me'iso and Me'iso-Dire Dawa and the other long range project, the Awash - Woldiya/Hara Gebeya, are achieving a progress of 60 percent and 71 percent, respectively.
